We help you rise above challenges, clarify what matters most, and move forward with purpose in life, leadership, and business
At Unyielding Hope, we know what it’s like to face moments that feel impossible, because we’ve lived them. Out of cancer, heart transplants, and life-altering adversity came one unshakable truth: hope changes everything.
We’re launching this movement to walk with people through life’s hardest seasons, helping them find strength for today, courage for tomorrow, and faith for the future. But we cannot do it alone.
This is your chance to help build something from the ground up. By giving to the launch, you’re not just making a donation—you’re planting seeds of hope that will grow into resources, coaching, communities, and stories that transform lives.
Your gift today ensures that no one has to walk through adversity alone. Together, we can create a movement that proves hope is stronger than fear, and that resilience, faith, and purpose are possible for everyone.
Join us. Stand with us. Give hope today.
There are many ways to get involved with Unyielding Hope. Attend one of our events, become a member, or volunteer your time. We'd love to have you on board!
We love our partners, so feel free to reach out and let us hear from you.

Terry Gurno’s life has been marked by adversity, faith, and an unyielding pursuit of hope. Growing up in an alcoholic, abusive home, he battled self-doubt and learning challenges that convinced him he wasn’t enough. With the guidance of a mentor, Terry discovered possibility where he once only saw limitation.
His journey has been anything but easy. Terry has faced open-heart surgery, multiple cancer diagnoses, and stage 4 colon cancer. Each challenge tested his faith and resolve, yet every trial deepened his conviction that life is a gift, time is precious, and hope is always worth holding onto.
Terry also learned the power of endurance. As a two-time Ironman finisher, he proved it’s not about being the fastest or strongest, but about refusing to quit. That same perseverance fuels his passion to help others overcome their struggles, find clarity, and live with courage and intention.
Through speaking, coaching, writing, and his nonprofit Unyielding Hope, Terry inspires people to rise above adversity and discover purpose in their journey.
Terry believes hope is not wishful thinking, it is strength in action. When people are seen, supported, and equipped, they uncover resilience, reclaim purpose, and move toward a future worth fighting for.

Dan Christ is living proof that resilience is more than just a word, it’s a way of life. He has faced battles that most people can hardly imagine: surviving cancer, fighting through melanoma, and enduring over 200 days in the hospital while awaiting and recovering from a heart transplant. Against the odds, Dan came back stronger, not just physically but in spirit, determination, and vision.
An athlete at heart, Dan has completed marathons, conquered the 70.3 Ironman triathlon, and pushed his body and mind far beyond the limits of most. But his true story isn’t about finishing races, it’s about showing others that hope can carry you through seasons when giving up feels easier.
Dan brings his grit, faith, and firsthand experience with adversity to Unyielding Hope. His life reminds us that no matter how impossible the road may look, you can move forward one step at a time.
Today, he uses his story to inspire others to believe in a future worth fighting for, to pursue their purpose, and to embrace resilience in the face of life’s greatest challenges.
Dan believes resilience is not about avoiding hardship but choosing to rise through it.
"My battles with cancer, melanoma, and a heart transplant taught me that hope is real power. With faith, courage, and grit, we can take one step forward, even when the road feels impossible."

For Dave Miller, life is all about perspective. and he’s living proof of what gratitude and faith can do.
In 2007, while playing goalie in a recreational soccer game, Dave suffered a devastating accident that fractured his skull in 21 places. The prognosis was grim. Doctors prepared his wife and four children for the worst, telling them he might not survive. If he did, they said, he would likely face lifelong paralysis and months of hospitalization.
But Dave’s story is nothing short of miraculous. Instead of months, he spent just four days in the hospital and four weeks in rehab. He relearned how to walk, how to talk, and eventually returned not just to daily life, but to living it fully.
Today, Dave is healthy, strong, and thriving. He’s been married to his best friend Brooke for over 20 years, raising three daughters and a two sons together.
Dave enjoys climbing mountains, competing in endurance events like Ironman Coeur d’Alene, and speaking to audiences about resilience, gratitude, and the power of perspective
Dave believes his recovery was a miracle, and he carries that conviction into everything he does. His message is simple yet profound:
Every moment is a gift. Live with gratitude. Appreciate life. Tell people you love them. Make sure you don’t miss it.
